​We are a group of students from Ateneo de Manila University who have finished a practitioner’s course on Creating Shared Value under the supervision of Mr. David Laurel. Through this online portal, we aim to spread awareness and spark discussion on CSV.
Who We Are
Our Purpose

We practitioners hope to spread awareness of the concept of CSV within the Ateneo community. This platform will serve as a guide to the background, on-going initiatives surrounding CSV. We hope to extend the reach of the website to other universities and institutions in the near future, and enable and inspire more practitioners to join the cause. In the long run, we envision nation-wide awareness and acceptance of CSV throughout the whole Philippines.

Creating Shared Value Elective Class
David Laurel is an independent Creating Shared Value (CSV) practitioner consultant, affiliated with the Shared Value Initiative group which was created in 2012 to drive the adoption and implementation of shared value strategies by organizations around the world. David was previously employed with Nestlé Philippines Inc. as an executive of its Corporate Affairs in charge of CSV for rural development. In his work with Nestlé Philippines Inc., he was the first to embed the shared value concept at factory sites in coordination with the local communities.
Mr. Laurel has been a professor in the Ateneo De Manila University under the Development Studies program. He has been teaching Creating Shared Value since 2016, having graduated a total of 56 certified practitioners up to this date. Mr. Laurel aims to develop a fostering student community of CSV practitioners and eventually, a full-force hub of CSV practitioners in the Philippines.
